TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Actor and comedian Adam Sandler and rapper Vanilla Ice paid a visit to the University of South Florida this week.
Bryan Hodgson, USF’s head men’s basketball coach, posted a photo of the celebrities’ visit to USF’s Pam and Les Muma Basketball Center on social media Monday.
“Shoutout to @AdamSandler & @vanillaice for stopping by the MUMA Center to run some pickup with the Bulls!” Hodgson said. “Big time vibes only in Tampa Bay’s Home for Hoops.”

According to a USF spokesperson, Sandler and Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, were there to play some casual basketball for fun. They reached out to Hodgson about using the Muma Center.
The center, constructed in 2012, houses a state-of-the-art basketball facility for both the men’s and women’s programs. This includes one full-length court, two half-court setups, and practice areas with eight hoops.
