TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— The Tampa Bay Lightning kicks off the 2025-26 NHL season against the Ottawa Senators at Benchmark International Arena tonight.
Before the puck drops, Bolts fans can experience the return of the blue carpet walk, live entertainment, happy hour pre-game specials, and many more, Benchmark International Arena said.
Festivities begin at 3:45 p.m. with the blue carpet walk and then a pre-game concert on the Ford Thunder Alley Stage that will feature Saints of Saturn starting at 5 p.m.
Lightning Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m. and goes on until 7 p.m., and fans can enjoy numerous deals that include:
- $2.50 waters and sodas
- $5 beers and seltzers
- $5 combo meal with a burger or hot dog, chips, and a drink
- $8 combo meal with pizza and a drink
Fans can also experience games, face paint, caricature artists, and photo opportunities before the puck drops.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are 52-57-11 against the Ottawa Senators all-time, including 30-24-6 on home ice, the Lightning said.
Last year, the Lightning went 2-2-0 against the Senators.
For opening night, the Tampa Bay Lightning will have an opening night souvenir puck for the item of the game. The puck is available in store or online.
The game will begin at 7 p.m.
