There is no retirement plan for Bruce Arians after Super Bowl LV

The man said so himself.

There’s not much room for argument. Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl run has been quite impressive.

The Bucs finished with an 11-5 record for just the third time in franchise history while setting all kinds of franchise records —on offense and defense— along the way. They made their first postseason appearance since 2007 and won their first playoff game since 2002. And of course, we can’t forget about representing the NFC in Super Bow LV.

The playoff run has also been impressive based off the quarterbacks the Bucs have faced, alone. Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers —two first-ballot Hall of Famers and two of the best quarterbacks in NFL history— both fell victim to Tampa Bay. You don’t see one team take down an all-star lineup like that very often in the postseason.

This type of run is often a very satisfactory one. Think about it. The Bucs are snapping all kinds of bad streaks/records while setting new ones and they’re taking down the league’s best on the way to (hopefully) their second Super Bowl win as a franchise. Bruce Arians and his squad have earned every accomplishment that has come their way. This is his first Super Bowl as a head coach, so it’s certainly a special time for him.

So, at some point, you have to stop and ask yourself: If the Bucs win it all this year, would Arians retire?

Well, Arians answered that exact question Wednesday on the Bucs’ flagship station, 95.3 WDAE. Per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Arians gave a profound “hell no” as his answer to the aforementioned question.

It certainly sounds like the band is going to get back together for another run in 2021, which has to be exciting for everyone involved with the Bucs.
