Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair is all-in on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL playoffs this year and has a message for the Bucs and quarterback Baker Mayfield heading into tomorrow’s game against the Detroit Lions.
Taking to X, the 16-time world champion posted a video of some highlights of Mayfield being mic’d up in their upset win over the Philadelphia Eagles last week. He then declared that Baker and the Bucs are going to “whip” the Lions on Sunday.
“Getting Ready To Whip The @Lions (expletive) Tomorrow! LFG @Buccaneers ! WOOOOO!” Flair wrote.
The reaction from fans has been a bit mixed as Flair is also a diehard Michigan Wolverines fan – and there’s a lot of crossover between Wolverines and Lions fans. Some are saying they can’t agree with him while others are willing to give him a pass.

“I’m gonna let this one slide Nature Boy.. only because of your Michigan fandom. Wooooooo,” one user wrote.
“I love the Michigan Wolverines support you show but on this one I have to say #OnePride Lets hope for a great game,” wrote another.
“Love that your a Michigan fan but tomorrow is not your day Nature Boy. GO LIONS!” a third declared.
