The Bucs defense in 2024 was hit or miss, but the highs they achieved were special in the moment. The team dealt with a litany of injuries and had to overcome a lot to win their division and make their playoff game as close as it was.
Despite all the injuries, one player remained active and was able to do something no one else could in 2024.
The Bucs social media team shared that Lavonte David was the only player in 2024 to accumulate over 100 or more tackles, three or more forced fumbles, and five or more sacks. That type of production from David at age 34 is unheard of from the linebacker position.

David is set to hit free agency when the new league year begins next month. The team hopes to bring David back, but their salary cap may complicate the idea.
