The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have spent their Saturday poaching a couple of coaches from the college ranks.

After Kentucky senior analyst Brian Picucci to be their new assistant offensive Line coach, the Bucs are now expected to hire Georgia wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator Bryan McClendon to be their new wide receivers coach.

It was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

McClendon has spent the last two seasons as Georgia’s wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. It’s his second stint with the program after he was originally there from 2007-15.

After that, he bounces around a few schools, including Oregon, before making his way back to Athens.

Before he got into coaching, he played wide receiver for Georgia from 2002-05 and then had a one-year stint with the Chicago Bears in 2006.

As a player, he compiled 56 receptions for 830 yards and six touchdowns at the collegiate level.

Assuming this deal is finalized, it’ll be the first time he’s a coach at the NFL level. He’ll get the chance to coach some great receivers, including Chris Godwin and potentially Mike Evans if he decides to return in free agency.
