The Bucs retained their offensive coordinator and play-caller for at least one more day after the Bears made their head coaching decision. They hired Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to pair with their franchise quarterback, Caleb Williams.
With Coen staying in Tampa Bay as one coaching spot opens, what are the chances he stays with the team?
Head coaching vacancies remain with the Raiders, Cowboys, Saints, Jets, and Jaguars. The latter of those choices remains a strong possibility to land Liam Coen, but they have yet to make it very far in their interview process.
Other teams seemingly are focusing on other candidates, so the Jaguars may be the only way the Bucs lose out on their premier play-caller.
If the Bucs do lose Coen, it will mark back-to-back offseasons in which the team loses their offensive coordinator to a head coaching opportunity. Last year, Dave Canales left the Bucs for a chance to lead the Panthers.
