We’ve picked up the fifth-year option on DL Vita Vea’s initial contract, which extends the deal through the 2022 season.#GoBucs

As expected, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have exercised the fifth-year option for star defensive lineman Vita Vea, locking him in for an extra season.
The No. 12 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Vea has established himself as arguably the best nose tackle in the league, playing a key role in helping the Bucs win Super Bowl LV last season.
This was a no-brainer move for the Bucs, who will get to keep Vea at an extremely affordable rate for the next two seasons, as they look to keep their championship window open for as long as possible.
