Tampa Bay Buccaneers right guard Alex Cappa nearly doubled his salary for the 2020 season, earning the NFL’s highest performance bonus, according to information sent by the NFLPA to player agents (via NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Cappa started all 16 regular-season games for the Bucs, but missed the playoffs after suffering a season-ending leg injury. He’s expected to be back in the starting lineup when the Bucs kick off their potential repeat run this fall.
A third-round pick out of Humboldt State, Cappa has proven he can hang with the best defensive linemen in the NFL, and he’s being financially rewarded after a fantastic 2020 campaign.
