Breaking: Ravens Pro Bowler Could Draw Trade Interest After Disastrous Loss

October 6, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

After disastrously losing to the Houston Texans, trade interest could pick back up for the Baltimore Ravens’ Pro Bowl tight end, Mark Andrews, this season. According to a report, Andrews could be the latest Raven to wear a new uniform before the 2025 campaign is over, now that Baltimore is 1-4 and is probably nowhere near being a postseason contender. With frustrations already mounting on offense within the Ravens’ roster, it might be best for the team to make the veteran available for a trade to see what type of offers they can field.

Originally selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the former Oklahoma product became a subject of trade rumors throughout this past offseason. However, it seems that general manager Eric DeCosta hasn’t been able to receive an offer that he likes, which is probably why he remains a part of this team. Andrews won’t be netting the best offers at this stage in his career since he’s past his prime, but the Ravens should deal him now since Jackson isn’t coming back soon enough to save this offense and bring them at least a chance this season. Andrews is in his final year of his contract, and starter Isaiah Likely already took his job this past season, so it might be time for the veteran to start new.

Possible Next Teams

Washington Commanders

After a slow start to the season, the Washington Commanders are finally waking up with Jayden Daniels back in the fold. The team is coming off a statement win against the Chargers, who had all of the momentum in their home. However, they shouldn’t get too ahead of themselves and continue to find ways to position Daniels in the best spot possible to be a fierce NFC competitor. While they re-signed veteran tight end Zach Ertz to a one-year contract, they must find a viable replacement to supplement Daniels in the aerial attack, and they could easily find that in Andrews.

The Commanders will eventually need to draft a long-term tight end, but they haven’t had any luck so far with Ben Sinnott’s performance. Why not just get Andrews in the mix and put this offense in its best position to win now that Daniels is still in his rookie contract?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are another team in the NFC that is on fire. At 4-1, the passing attack has been one of the best in a while for quarterback Baker Mayfield. Cade Otton is still buried in the depth chart due to the emergence of their receivers like Emeka Egbuka garnering all of the attention. However, the team shouldn’t allow them to ignore upgrading the tight end department.

Otton wants a new contract, but they might take another route and trade for Andrews to give Mayfield another veteran presence to boost their championship glory experience. This might be what helps the Buccaneers get to the NFC Championship Game next year.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Baltimore Ravens won’t trade Andrews to the Chiefs, but it’s hard to imagine them turning down an offer from Kansas City. Baltimore doesn’t need to rebuild, but the defense took a hit this season and needs to garner all of the draft capital to upgrade the linebacker room. Travis Kelce is probably retired after this season, so anything can happen.
