The Rays have selected the contract of right-hander Justin Sterner from Triple-A Durham, per a team announcement. He’ll be making his MLB debut when he first gets into a game. Rays’ prospect Junior Caminero has been placed on the minor league injured list due to a quad strain. The Rays announced that right-hander Shane Baz has been reinstated from the injured list and optioned to Triple-A Durham. Baz, 25 next month, underwent Tommy John surgery in September of 2022 and missed the entire 2023 season.
